Research interests:
Fish diversity, Evolution and Biogeography. Ongoing projects include:
- Systematics and biogeography of freshwater sardines (Clupeiformes)[USM-funded].
- Taxonomy and evolution of the African weakly electric fish genus Petrocephalus (Mormyridae).
- Evolutionary history of bony-tongue fishes (Osteoglossomorpha).
